GPay Welcome Tap ₹200 Cashback Offer

Google Pay has introduced a new feature to facilitate faster payments with credit and debit cards, and as part of promoting this feature, a new offer called ‘GPay Welcome Tap’ has been launched.

Use your card to pay bills, initiate recharge or pay at stores using Tap-Pay-Go feature. Only VISA and Mastercard are eligible cards. If you have one of these cards, then congratulations! You can claim ₹200 cashback.

To avail of this offer, after linking a debit/credit card users need to make his first card payment of a minimum Rs. 200. They can pay electricity bills, or any other bills, or make purchases in-store, as mentioned previously.

Next time you visit a store, use the Google Pay app on your phone to pay for the products you buy. However, before making contactless payments, ensure that NFC is turned on.

How to Add Card and Get ₹200 in Google Pay?

1. Update app

Sometimes offer shows after the app is updated, so get the new version of Google Pay app from Play Store. Sign-in to your account.

2. Find the offer

Open Google Pay and navigate to ‘offer & rewards’ from homepage. Scroll a bit down and under popular offers you’ll find ‘Welcome Tap ₹200 cashback’.

3. Add card

Click on ‘add card’ and link a debit or credit card to your Google Pay account. Currently, VISA and Mastercard are supported. Please ensure that your card supports NFC transactions and contactless payments are also enabled.

4. Make first payment

Once the card is linked make your first transaction of minimum Rs. 200. You can pay bills or recharge your mobile on Google Pay or pay at stores.

5. Claim cashback

After completing the eligible transaction, a scratch card will appear. Upon scratching it, Google Pay will credit Rs. 200 cashback to your account.
